# Use Signposting

* General Signposting: Memo level: Headers, subheaders, toggles, paragraphs, and white space. Paragraph level: Topic sentences, bullet points, and numbered lists. Sentence level: Transition words or intentional sequencing of words within a sentence
* Emotional Signposting: when conveying potentially sensitive information. By setting the emotional tone, providing clues about whether information is positive, negative, or neutral. "Good news...", "Unfortunately..."
